DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY

        The department of Philosophy has been included in the courses offered to UG level students in the academic session 2017-2018 with a good spirit and promising activities. The eagerness of students to learn and study philosophy as a core subject in under graduate level inspired the college authority to include this department in the college in 2016-17 session.  Considering the earnest appeal of the college and observing the physical stature of the college phenomenon the officials of the higher education department (Govt. of West Bengal) got satisfied and sanctioned the subject for the affiliation. At the beginning the dept. was allowed to take admission of 50 students as approved by Vidyasagar University which marked a mile stone of a long journey. Only two but young and energetic scholars Mr. Kousik Mishra & Goutam Kumar Manna were appointed as a guest teacher for the department by the college authority   to run the courses smoothly. The department is proud to be associated with excellent students and the faculties. The graduate programme of this department produces with comprehensive knowledge in different branches of the subject. With a well-balanced proportion of diversive concerns of contemporary philosophy and cultivating synchronization between tradition and modern thought. Our department always encourages the students to become dedicated and responsible in their day to day living aptitudes. We are trying our best to help the students to build up their carrier in the world of academics, bureaucracy and mass communication.
